Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking dedicated SEN Specialist Tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary students in Salisbury, from Year 7 to GCSE. Roles focus on pupils with SEND, anxiety, or barriers to mainstream education.

Tutors will deliver highly individualised programmes, rebuilding confidence and supporting progress across Maths, English, and, where possible, GCSE Science. Most referrals are 10–15 hours per student weekly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching secondary Maths and English.
• Experience with students from Year 7 to GCSE.
• Experience supporting learners with SEN/SEND and barriers to education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 outreach tuition to secondary learners (Year 7–GCSE).
• Teach Maths and English across the secondary range.
• Assess learning needs and identify gaps.
• Plan and deliver structured, personalised learning programmes.
• Adapt teaching methods to different SEND profiles and learning styles.
• Support learners toward EHCP targets and curriculum objectives.
• Help students prepare for GCSEs and other exams.
• Build trusting relationships and monitor progress, with records of engagement and achievement.
• Provide feedback to parents, carers, schools and professionals.
