Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced SEN Specialist to work across SEN schools and specialist provisions in Chorley.

You will support pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties, delivering personalised 1:1 and small group support. This full-time role offers day-to-day opportunities with competitive hourly pay of £14.25–£15.00, starting ASAP subject to vetting.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN schools or specialist provisions.
• Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, complex needs, and communication difficulties.
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist children with complex SEN and additional learning needs.
• Use visual aids, sensory strategies, Makaton, PECS, and communication tools where required.
• Support students with personal care where necessary.
• Encourage engagement, independence, and social development.
• Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to ensure positive outcomes.
