TeacherActive Liverpool is seeking an Experienced SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of SEND needs across primary schools in Southport and surrounding areas. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, adapting activities to individual needs, and collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.

You will work with children with ASC/ASD, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH and other learning difficulties, providing both academic and emotional support in a nurturing

Formación

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a classroom setting.
• Ability to provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support.
• Proven ability to adapt activities to meet diverse needs.
• Experience working with ASC/ASD, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH as required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with complex needs in mainstream primary settings.
• Assist with EHCPs and implement provision plans.
• Break learning into manageable steps to build independence.
• Support children with communication and interaction difficulties.
• Offer emotional and sensory regulation support.
• Contribute to positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
