Job summary

Aspire School - Croydon, Croydon, England, is seeking a SEN/SLCN Teaching Assistant to join Horizon Care and Education. You will support pupils with SEN and communication difficulties, 1:1 and in small groups, within a nurturing learning environment.

Key duties include assisting with classroom activities, adapting resources, and supporting teachers to deliver inclusive lessons in a primary setting at Aspire Learning Croydon. This is a part-time, term-time position.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with behavioural support needs and SLCN.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in educational and social development.
• Provide support inside and outside the classroom to enable participation in activities.
• Help set up activities and adapt materials to individual needs.
• Support teachers and manage in-class learning with a positive approach.
• Work 1:1 with students to provide focused learning support.
