Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to transform the lives of disengaged and vulnerable learners. Roles include Maths, English or Science tutoring with SEMH/SEND needs, delivered in person, online or hybrid.

You will work flexibly to meet local authority referrals, plan lessons, provide feedback, and contribute to a trauma-informed learning environment. QTS/QTLS and Enhanced DBS are preferred; self-employed opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEM H in trauma-informed settings.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) required.
• UK-based with right to work; Enhanced DBS and 2+ references.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition in person, online, or hybrid.
• Plan and report lessons; provide regular progress feedback.
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools with trauma-informed tutoring.
• Maintain safeguarding and create a safe learning environment.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
