Job summary

Targeted Provision is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers to transform the lives of disengaged, at‑risk, and vulnerable learners in the UK. Roles include Maths, English, or Science tutoring with trauma‑informed approaches, flexible hours, and in‑person/online/hybrid delivery.

Requirements include 2+ years teaching experience, SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD familiarity, QTS/QTLS, and an Enhanced DBS with two references. Self‑employed contract model available to fit opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in a trauma‑informed approach.
• QTS or QTLS required to teach in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check & 2+ professional references; UK right to work.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maths, English or Science tuition in person, online, or hybrid to learners with SEND/SEMH.
• Plan lessons and report on student progress; provide regular feedback.
• Support local authorities/schools by delivering trauma‑informed tutoring for KS1–KS5 as appropriate.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
