Job summary

Targeted Provision is hiring SEND Tutors and Teachers to support students with SEMH and SEND needs. Roles are flexible with in-person, hybrid, and remote opportunities, offering part-time to full-time hours to fit your schedule.

We seek applicants with 2+ years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and DBS clearance. You will work with schools and local authorities to transform lives in the community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH and related needs.
• Subjects: English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualifications: QTS or QTLS.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online or hybrid Maths, English or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan and report lessons; deliver trauma-informed tutoring.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
