Job summary

Academics in Bedford is seeking an experienced SEN Secondary Teacher to join a well-established specialist school this September. This full-time, long-term role offers small class sizes and the chance to make a lasting impact with pupils who have SLD, MLD and SLCN.

You will deliver differentiated lessons, collaborate with teaching assistants and therapists, and build strong relationships with pupils, parents and professionals to ensure the best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN, in specialist or mainstream settings.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
