Job description

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teacher to start at a special school in Moseley, South Birmingham. The position is to start in January 2025 to cover a maternity contract for a 12-month period.

School Details

The school supports primary pupils aged 5-11 years. All pupils have an education, health and care plan. The primary areas of need include cognition and learning, and speech, language and communication needs. Pupils also have associated needs, such as physical, sensory, and medical needs. Their highly skilled and enthusiastic staff work with the children and their individual needs to promote independence, communication, and social skills.

Candidate Requirements

1. QTS or Equivalent
2. Minimum 6 months experience teaching within a special school
3. TEAM TEACH Certificate (Preferred)
4. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
5. An outstanding educational practitioner with high expectations
