Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Blackburn, supporting pupils aged 4-16. The role involves delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum across all subjects, tailored to meet a wide range of special educational needs.

You will work with TAs and SENCOs, implement EHCP targets, track progress, and create a supportive learning environment. QTS/QTLS is essential, with enhanced DBS required or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching pupils with SEN.
• Ability to deliver across multiple subjects with diverse needs.
• Calm, nurturing approach and strong classroom management.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons across core and foundation subjects.
• Teach pupils across primary and secondary age ranges with varying needs.
• Implement and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
• Assess, track and report pupil progress.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
