Tradewind Recruitment LTD. are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join our SEN/Inclusion department at a mainstream secondary school in Carnforth, Lancashire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• In-Department & In-Class Support: Support SEN students during lessons with SEN teachers and LSAs in the inclusion base.
• Targeted Pastoral Interventions: Deliver 1-to-1 or small-group mentoring on emotional regulation and resilience.
• Transition & Integration Support: Facilitate transitions for SEN students between primary to Year 7 and back from absence.
• Behaviour & Emotional Regulation: Be a trusted adult to support anxiety, sensory overload, or crises with de-escalation.
• Liaison with Staff & Parents: Communicate with tutors, heads of year, SENCO and families on progress and wellbeing.
• Tracking & Safeguarding: Maintain records of support, attendance, and interventions per safeguarding policies.
