A welcoming 1-form-entry primary school in Leyton is looking for a SEN Nursery Assistant to join their team and support a child in nursery with special educational needs.

The Role

As an SEN Nursery Assistant, you will provide 1 to 1 support for a child with autism. The child is non-verbal and has recently received an EHCP.

The support includes helping develop communication skills through Makaton, facilitating access to play-based activities safely, and providing personal care support (such as changing and feeding).

The school prefers candidates who have experience working with children under 5 with special educational needs and who demonstrate a caring, dedicated approach.

This role is to start immediately and is offered on an ongoing contract.
