Job summary

Capel Manor College is seeking an experienced SEN Mentor to join our Student Services team. You will support students with mental health, learning difficulties or disabilities and help them reach their potential.

The role is part-time (14.4 hours per week, 40 weeks per year) with London weighting; you will work across teams to promote wellbeing and essential English/Maths support, alongside safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people who have mental health, learning difficulties or disabilities.
• Experience in an educational setting.
• Good knowledge of English and Maths.
• Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, Equality and Diversity policies and procedures.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the service.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Collaborate with Student Services and other teams to support wellbeing and development.
• Support personal development and English/Maths learning as part of a holistic service.
