Job summary

Capel Manor College is seeking a part-time SEN Mentor to join the Student Services team. The role supports young people with mental health and learning difficulties, requires strong communication, and a good grasp of Safeguarding and Equality policies.

14.4 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, salary £10,182.75–£10,984 (London weighting). The ideal candidate will have prior educational experience, be able to work flexibly with the service, and collaborate with all teams to help learners reach

Qualifications

• Qualified mentor with experience in educational settings.
• Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities.
• Good knowledge of English and Maths.
• Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, Equality and Diversity policies.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor young people in a college environment.
• Collaborate with teams to address wellbeing, personal development and learning needs.
• Promote safeguarding and inclusive practices across services.
