Job summary

Study Mind seeks a patient SEN Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition for a Year 10 student in Chatham. The role focuses on Functional Maths or KS3/KS4 based on the baseline, with a home-based setting and flexible scheduling.

The tutor will use visual, practical and multi-sensory methods to support a student with Autism, severe Dyslexia and inattentive ADHD, aiming to rebuild engagement and independence in maths.

Qualifications

• Patient SEN Maths tutor with experience supporting autism, dyslexia and ADHD.
• Ability to teach Functional Maths and KS3/KS4 at appropriate baselines.
• Comfortable with visual, practical and multi-sensory teaching approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 Maths tuition 3–4 hours per week at the family home in Chatham.
• Assess baseline and gradually develop Functional Maths or KS3/KS4 pathway.
• Build rapport, provide clear instructions, and adapt methods as needed.
• Create a calm, predictable learning environment supporting engagement.
