Job summary

Odyssey House School in Wokingham, Berkshire, is seeking a Maths Teacher (SEN) to deliver engaging, differentiated maths lessons to small classes of students with high-functioning autism, anxiety and EBSA. The role offers £35,000-£50,000 depending on experience, full-time hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and the right to work in the UK.

You will be supported by Teaching Assistants and an experienced SENCO, allowing you to focus on quality teaching and meaningful student progress.

Qualifications

• QTS or working towards QTS as essential requirement.
• Good Honours Degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience in a Special Educational Needs setting is desirable.
• Able to deliver differentiated maths lessons and manage small classes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons in small classes.
• Support students to achieve qualifications (Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSE).
• Monitor progress and provide clear, supportive feedback.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
• Provide pastoral support as a tutor/key adult.
