Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a SEN Maths Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Lambeth, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and mild learning difficulties (MLD).
In this rewarding SEN Maths Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise as an SEN Maths Teacher will allow you to build lessons appropriate for students to build on basic mathematical foundations.
The successful SEN Maths Teacher applicant would be joining a fantastic ASD school in Lambeth for children with mild learning difficulties. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 11-19 years, who have mild learning difficulties. The school provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupils' specific needs, allowing the students to gain independence and life skills.
SEN Maths Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalised educational programs.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the SEN Maths teacher in the classroom.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.
- Work with and lead a support team within the classroom.
- Work exclusively with year 8 and 9 year groups to ensure the success of students' personal goals in accordance with their EHCPs/care plan.
SEN Maths Teacher Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- SEN experience is desired but NOT required.
- Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
