Job summary

Brooke School is seeking a kind and caring lunchtime supervisor to support pupils aged 4–19 with special educational needs during the lunch period. You will help with feeding, cutting food as needed, and supervising eating and activities in the dining area.

The role involves assisting with personal care, toileting needs, and supporting pupils in playground and classroom settings, while following safeguarding and training requirements. A supportive, inclusive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Empathetic to pupils with special educational needs.
• Able to supervise and support lunchtime routines.
• Committed to pupil welfare and life chances.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils at lunchtime with feeding and use of cutlery.
• Supervise pupils eating and monitor trays, plates and cups.
• Clear tables and assist with clearing plates, trays and utensils.
• Be responsible for pupils in the playground and classroom during lunch.
• Attend to personal care including toileting needs as required.
• Assist the nurse with administration of medication when necessary.
• Prepare dining area before lunchtime and clear away after lunch.
• Follow safeguarding training and school procedures.
