Job summary

London South East Colleges is seeking an Additional Learning Support Tutor to support learners with identified learning difficulties or disabilities. The role focuses on delivering tuition and ensuring learners gain the skills needed for exams and future employment or higher education.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 SEN qualifications or be working towards, and a full teaching qualification or be working towards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 SEN qualification or equivalent, or working towards.
• Full teaching qualification or working towards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills with good IT knowledge and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and tuition to learners with recognised learning difficulties or disabilities.
• Help learners gain appropriate skills for national/local exams and assessments.
• Support learners' social skills and behaviours to enable success in employment or higher education.
