Job summary

The Rushmere Park Academy is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide direct classroom support for pupils, including those with special educational needs. You will help pupils in class and during lunch, working within our dedicated team to implement individual education plans and safeguarding practices.

Ideally you will have prior experience with children in educational settings and a TA qualification.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting.
• Friendly, energetic and enthusiastic team player.
• Ability to follow instructions from class teachers and senior leaders, with safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop nurturing and professional relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils to engage in class and lunch time activities.
• Work with the wider staff team across lunch periods.
• Assist pupils with activities outlined in their Individual Education Plans.
• Maintain safeguarding awareness and apply safeguarding policies in practice.
