Job summary

Rushy Meadow Primary Academy is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS and SEND, including 1:1 support and small groups. This fixed-term role runs term-time with 31.25 hours per week plus 2 days, until August 2027.

You will assist with day-to-day classroom activities, supervise during breaks, and help prepare displays while working as part of a supportive team. Training and safeguarding duties apply.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with teaching and learning in a primary setting.
• Ability to support groups and 1:1 with SEND pupils.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with staff in day-to-day school operations.
• Support groups of children with their learning under the guidance of a teacher.
• Support individual children e.g. with special needs or additional support.
• Provide supervisory support during break times.
• Attend day and residential trips with classes.
• Provide reprographic support and prepare work for display.
