Job summary

AMA Admin, on behalf of a Gateshead school, is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils in SEN settings, including autism and SEMH. You will support small groups and 1:1 with emotional regulation, communication and life skills. September start, Monday to Friday, term-time only; full training provided.

Salary £107.71–£120 per day with easy transport access and on-site parking. This role offers hands-on experience in a supportive, multidisciplinary team and is ideal for graduates

Qualifications

• Willingness to support personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups throughout the school day.
• Help pupils develop positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation.
• Support communication, independence and life skills.
• Assist with personal care when required (full training provided).
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to follow individual support plans.
• Help maintain safety, calmness and engagement during the school day.
