Job summary

The HireWorks Ltd is recruiting an SEN Learning Support Assistant for a September start at a Stanstead Abbots school. This is a full-time, term-time-only position in a welcoming, supportive setting.

You will work with pupils one-to-one and in small groups, supporting learning alongside experienced teachers and the SENCO to help pupils reach their full potential. The role focuses on building confidence, independence and resilience, while fostering positive behaviour and an inclusive school

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people is beneficial.
• Ability to work with children with diverse needs.
• Enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Working alongside experienced teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning support.
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and mental health needs.
• Celebrating achievements and making every day a positive learning experience.
