Job summary

Vision for Education is urgently recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Newport from September 2026. This role offers a September 2026 start, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and a welcoming, structured learning environment supporting pupils with ALN and SEN.

You will work alongside experienced teachers to provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapting resources to individual needs and helping pupils access learning, develop independence and build

Qualifications

• Experience in education, care, support work or related fields.
• Previous SEN or ALN experience is desirable.
• CACHE Level 2/3 is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Help pupils access classroom learning and adapt activities.
• Encourage communication, independence and social development.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assist with transitions and daily routines.
