Job summary

TipTopJob is partnering with a Further Education college in Bromley to recruit a Learning Support Worker. In this role you will work with students with SEN, supporting teaching staff and helping learners access the curriculum.

The post is term-time only, with Enhanced DBS clearance required. The college values inclusion and provides assistive technologies and person-centred support to enable independent learning and progress toward EHCP goals.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Maths and English required or willingness to complete them.
• Good general education with strong communication skills.
• Desire to support learners with SEN and adapt to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development of learners under supervision.
• Support students with personal care, safety, wellbeing and mobility.
• Encourage independent learning and self-advocacy.
• Ensure assistive technologies and equipment are prepared and used.
• Help evaluate progress and contribute to person-centred plans.
• Identify barriers to learning and apply intervention strategies.
• Liaise with parents, key workers and external agencies as required.
