Oakfield House School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, fostering confidence and independence in a nurturing, inclusive setting. You will work with experienced staff to deliver tailored learning and activities.

The role requires patience, strong communication, and a collaborative approach within a multi-disciplinary team. DBS checks and safeguarding are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (C/4 or above).
• Experience with pupils with SEN and ASC is desirable.
• Effective communication and teamwork are essential.
• Flexible, creative and able to adapt to individual needs.
• Resilient, positive and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access learning and achieve goals.
• Deliver engaging, personalised learning experiences for a range of needs.
• Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and participation.
• Support social, emotional and behavioural development with nurturing approaches.
• Prepare stimulating classrooms, resources and activities to inspire curiosity.
