Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is supporting a welcoming primary school in Chichester, West Sussex, to recruit a SEN Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, term-time-only basis. The role involves working with pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting 1:1 and small groups.

You will help pupils engage with learning, develop independence and build positive relationships, with training provided for healthcare needs and personal care where required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to work 1:1 and within small groups.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training to support pupil needs.
• Experience in school, SEN setting, nursery or care environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support children with Special Educational Needs across 1:1 and small groups.
• Assist with learning activities and promote independence.
• Help pupils engage with learning and build confidence.
• Support children with healthcare needs following training and care plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers and the support team.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
