Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking caring SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in supportive schools across Putney (SW15). Flexible day-to-day supply and long-term placements are available, with ongoing training and support from an experienced consultant. Applicants should have experience with SEN and an Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

This role offers the opportunity to develop experience within SEN education and make a meaningful difference in children's lives.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN in schools, care, youth work, tutoring, coaching, or similar settings.
• Patient, resilient and nurturing.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to remain calm and adaptable in a variety of situations.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist pupils with learning, social development and emotional wellbeing.
• Help implement behaviour and support strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs
• Providing 1:1 and small group support both inside and outside the classroom

• Helping to implement behaviour and support strategies
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate
