Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in supportive schools across Tooting (SW17). We offer flexible day-to-day supply work or long-term placements and competitive rates.

You will support pupils with SEN including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs, providing 1:1 and small group support inside and outside the classroom. Collaboration with teachers and SENCOs helps to monitor progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN in schools or related settings.
• Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• Willing to obtain Enhanced DBS or hold Update Service DBS.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs
• Providing 1:1 and small group support both inside and outside the classroom
• Assisting pupils with their learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing
• Helping to implement behaviour and support strategies
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in schools, care, youth work, tutoring, coaching, or similar settings
• Is patient, resilient, and nurturing
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Is able to remain calm and adaptable in a variety of situations
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
