Job summary

Class Education are recruiting for a Learning Partner to join the Interventions Team at a school in Stevenage. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, term-time only, with an immediate start available.

You will provide flexible and responsive support to learners throughout the school day, including one-to-one and small-group assistance during lessons and help with personal care needs as required. A rewarding, collaborative environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners, ideally in education or SEN settings.
• Ability to support learners with varying needs and personal care where required.
• Comfortable working within a school Interventions Team.

The Role

• Position: Learning Partner
• Location: Stevenage
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Contract: Full time, term time only
• Start: ASAP

As a Learning Partner, you will work as part of the school's Interventions Team, providing flexible and responsive support to learners throughout the school day.

• Supporting the school's on-call provision
• Providing one-to-one and/or small-group support to learners during lessons
• Assisting learners with their personal care needs
• Working closely with other members of staff to ensure learners receive appropriate and consistent support
• Helping to create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment
• Building positive relationships with learners and encouraging their engagement and development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Dedicated, enthusiastic and nurturing
• Patient and understanding when supporting learners with a range of needs
• Confident working both independently and as part of a wider team
• Adaptable and able to respond positively to different situations throughout the school day
• Experienced in supporting children or young people, ideally within an education or SEN setting
• Committed to helping every learner reach their potential
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs where required

Previous experience working within a specialist education, SEN or intervention setting would be advantageous, although we would also welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable experience.
