Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Southend is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs. You’ll provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Join a fantastic SEN school environment with ongoing training, a dedicated consultant, weekly pay, and a £50 referral bonus. Term-time only roles and full-time hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for supporting children – essential.
  • Experience or understanding of autism, learning disabilities, and other SEN.
  • A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
  • Positive attitude, strong initiative, and the ability to follow guidance from teaching staff – essential qualities.

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who are ready to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
