Job summary

Warwick College Group requires a Specialist Learning Mentor to support identified students in classroom, workshop and 1:1 settings. The role includes mentoring outside taught sessions and completing progress records, with mandatory pre-employment checks including DBS and right to work.

You will work with the SEN Team Leader and Personal Tutor to monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met, including managing risk assessments and exam arrangements where required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate English and Maths skills equivalent to Level 2.
• Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and other software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and / or intimate care for students as required.
• Support in-class or mentoring outside classroom as directed by SEN Team Leader.
• Assist lecturers with materials or activities for named students.
• Promote independent learning and act as a key worker for EHCP students.
• Monitor and review individual student targets with tutors.
• Contact parents with permission as appropriate.
• Attend Academy and Inclusion Team meetings.
• Undertake required training including Team Teach.
