Job summary

Horbury Academy is seeking a committed SEN Learning Mentor to join our supportive team. You will plan and deliver tailored interventions for pupils with additional learning needs, tracking progress in academic achievement, social development and independence.

Excellent GCSE English and Maths and an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) are required. The role involves pastoral support, behaviour management, and close collaboration with staff and external agencies to promote wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Knowledge of numeracy and literacy development techniques
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and external agencies

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with SEN and track progress
• Plan and lead tailored programmes for individuals and small groups
• Provide effective pastoral support to promote wellbeing and inclusion
• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to support pupils
• Create a nurturing environment that supports pupils to reach their potential
