Job summary

Star Academies in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide outstanding support to pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN, helping them make outstanding progress in their learning. You will work with individuals, small groups and whole classes, and liaise with school staff and other agencies to identify extra help to overcome barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent in education.
• Experience with SEND and supporting learning needs.
• Ability to work with individuals, small groups and whole classes.
• Ability to contribute to teachers’ lesson planning and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding support to pupils with SEN to enable progress.
• Support pupils in educational and social development.
• Liaise with staff, welfare officers and agencies to identify extra help.
• Motivate and encourage pupils and assist with planning.
