Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover lessons for pupils with Special Educational Needs. The role focuses on supporting education and social development in a dynamic environment at Woodbury School, an independent specialist day school for ages 7-18 with SEMH needs.

You will work 37.5 hours per week on a full-time contract, providing 1:1 and group support, helping to set up activities, and assisting teachers to ensure inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Experience with behavioural support needs and strategies.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in their educational and social development.
• Provide support inside and outside the classroom to engage in activities.
• Set up activities and adapt environment using technology as needed.
• Support teachers and interact with students in a positive manner.
• Work 1:1 with students to provide targeted learning time.
