Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND setting in Wolverhampton. The role is full-time, long-term with an immediate start, supporting learning across the setting and leading activities under teacher guidance.

You will work closely with school staff to provide consistent, individualized support for pupils with complex SEND needs, using strong communication and organisational skills to support progress.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience supporting learners at HLTA level.
• Experience working with children or young people with complex SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Confident in leading learning activities and managing classrooms.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across the setting and lead activities where appropriate.
• Work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent, individualised support.
• Contribute to pupil progress and behaviour management.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Wolverhampton supporting pupils with complex needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them develop their confidence, communication and independence.

The school is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will support learning across the setting, lead activities where appropriate and work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent, individualised support for pupils with complex SEND needs.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at HLTA level
• Experience working with children or young people with complex SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Confidence leading learning activities and supporting classroom management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
