Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming SEN school in Chigwell to recruit an enthusiastic SEN HLTA for KS1 and KS2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on pupils' progress while working within a friendly staff team.

We encourage applications from experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are ready for the next challenge and transition into an HLTA role. While a Level 3 qualification is preferred, the school values hands-on experience and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• Previous HLTA or LSA experience is desirable.
• Strong initiative and the ability to take on responsibility.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a class for half a day when short staffed.
• Deliver targeted interventions alongside class teachers.
• Create engaging learning resources to support academic progress.
• Work closely with the SENCo to assist pupils with SEN and EAL needs.
• Set learning targets and provide assessment feedback.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact on pupils' progress while working within a committed and friendly staff team.
