This full-time HLTA role in Chertsey offers the opportunity to lead learning activities, deliver targeted interventions and provide high-quality classroom support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
As an HLTA, you will:
Lead learning activities and small group sessions
Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with SEN
Provide classroom cover when required
Support individual learning and development plans
Encourage communication, confidence and independence
Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
Help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
The school in Chertsey is looking for an HLTA who is confident, organised and passionate about SEN education.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant
Strong knowledge of SEN and additional learning needs
Confidence leading groups and delivering learning activities
Excellent communication and behaviour support skills
A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
An HLTA qualification would be beneficial, although strong relevant experience will also be considered.
