Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified SEN HLTA to join a Primary SEN School on a long-term maternity cover. You will plan activities and lead classes of children with Specific Learning Difficulties, ASC and SEMH, delivering targeted support in small groups and one-to-one settings.

The role combines classroom delivery with specialised support, requiring resilience, initiative, and innovative teaching methods. Salary is determined by qualifications and experience, in line with the client's pay policy.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification is required.
• Experience supporting students one-to-one or in small groups.
• Experience planning and leading classes of children with additional needs.

SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Are you a qualified, passionate, and driven SEN HLTA, with a commitment to supporting students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) or ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions)? Have you got experience of HLTA work including planning activities and leading classes of children with Special Educational Needs? If you are able to offer resilient and confident support, effectively promote positive behaviours, and engage students in their own learning, we want to hear from you!
