Job summary

Academics is seeking a SEN Cover Teacher to support an Alternative Provision in Cheltenham. The role focuses on delivering lessons for learners with diverse needs, working with support staff to ensure personalised progress.

Ideal candidates hold QTS and have experience with SEN. You will join a dedicated team, start ASAP, and work term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with a daily rate of £140–£190 and a clear DBS or willingness to apply for one.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS.
• Experience in SEN education or SEN settings is preferred.
• Ability to support learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Clear DBS check or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide high quality teaching and learning across the curriculum.
• Support learners with a range of additional needs (social, emotional and behavioural).
• Create a calm, safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with learners and staff.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and development.
