Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for an SEN Cover Supervisor to join a specialist school in Bristol. The role involves supervising classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned activities, and providing pastoral support to pupils with SEN.

The ideal candidate is a graduate or someone with experience working with children or young people, with strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach. A full UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
Confident managing groups and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, resilient and adaptable.
Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities in the teacher's absence.
Support students with Autism, SEMH and additional learning needs.
Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
Provide pastoral and emotional support where required.
Maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teaching and support staff to meet students' individual needs.
