Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a SEN Cover Supervisor in Redhill, Surrey. You will supervise classes when teachers are absent, supporting students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia and anxiety-related barriers to learning.

You will deliver pre-set plans and provide individual and small group support to students with SEN, helping develop academic, social and emotional skills in a structured setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above)
• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, SEMH)
• Strong behaviour management and classroom supervision skills
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or Cover Supervisor training) are desirable

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the teacher

We are seeking a confident and compassionate SEN Cover Supervisor to join a special needs school in Redhill, Surrey supporting students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia, and anxiety-related barriers to learning.

In this role, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning while supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development in a structured and nurturing environment.
