Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Core Subject Tutor SEN to provide one-to-one support in Staffordshire, starting in Cannock. This temporary part-time role offers 20 hours per week and focuses on helping students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, to reach their targets.

You will deliver Maths and English tuition, adapt to individual learning styles, monitor progress, and maintain a safe, structured learning environment while building positive relationships to boost confidence

Qualifications

• 6+ months UK tutoring or teaching experience.
• Experience supporting SEN in one-to-one or small groups.
• Knowledge of strategies for Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other needs.
• Experience delivering Maths and/or English tuition.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition in Maths and English.
• Adapt teaching to individual learning styles and emotional needs.
• Support SEN students to improve confidence, engagement and attainment.
• Build positive relationships to encourage progress and participation.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
