Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. are recruiting for a dedicated SEN College Learning Support Tutor to join a specialist educational setting in Southport. The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, with a focus on supporting students with SEND to achieve their potential.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging learning activities, monitor progress, and promote independence. Competitive pay and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEN/SEND learners including ASD/ADHD/SEMH.
• Patient, caring and empathetic approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.
• Relevant qualification in education or related field is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support to students with SEN in classroom and one-to-one settings.
• Support delivery of engaging, accessible learning activities.
• Promote independence, confidence and personal development.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and support teams to meet learner needs.
• Monitor progress and contribute to learner reviews and support plans.
• Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
