Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. are recruiting for a dedicated SEN College Learning Support Tutor to join a specialist educational setting in Southport. The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, with a focus on supporting students with SEND to achieve their potential.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging learning activities, monitor progress, and promote independence. Competitive pay and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEN/SEND learners including ASD/ADHD/SEMH.

• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN College Learning Support Tutor to join a specialist educational setting in Southport. Key Responsibilities

• Provide learning support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Assist learners both in the classroom and through one-to-one support sessions.
• Support the delivery of engaging and accessible learning activities.
• Promote independence, confidence, and personal development among students.
• Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to meet individual learner needs.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to learner reviews and support plans.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children or young adults with SEN, SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
• A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues.
• A relevant qualification in education, support work, health and social care, or a related field is desirable.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
