Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Bridgend. You will support pupils aged 3-19 with Autism and additional learning needs, helping them access learning and stay safe in class.

This is a full academic year role with a daily rate of £92.63, working 8:30am–3:30pm and supporting a dedicated team in a well-supported environment. Requirements include experience with SEN, being 18+, EWC registration (or willingness to obtain), DBS

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or individuals with SEN
• Must be 18+
• EWC registration (or willingness to obtain)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
• Level 2 Safeguarding training
• At least two professional references covering 24 months

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with SEN/ALN and challenging behaviours
• Deliver tailored 1:1 and smallgroup support
• Help pupils access the curriculum through personalised interventions
• Use effective behaviour management and deescalation strategies
• Promote engagement, confidence, and emotional development
• Assist with mobility, sensory, and physical support needs
