Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a caring SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle from September 2026. The role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs and helping them access learning in a nurturing classroom environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored activities, and help develop communication, confidence and independence for pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery or care setting is desirable
• A patient, resilient and positive attitude
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Able to work collaboratively within a school team
