Job summary

Easthorpe School is seeking an experienced SEN Class Teacher to join our growing team in the East Midlands. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned to the National Curriculum while meeting complex SEMH needs, supported by a dedicated teaching team and classroom assistants.

Qualifications

• QTS and degree-level education.
• Proven SEND teaching experience in an educational setting.
• Experience with SEMH pupils and behaviour management.
• Good understanding of the examination process.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across primary and secondary levels for SEMH pupils.
• Support the class team in promoting positive behaviours.
• Report pupil progress and liaise with staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time including trips.
• Assist Exams Officer with planning and administering internal and external examinations.
