Job summary

Linq Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Burnley for a SEN Class Teacher starting September 2026. The role supports pupils aged 5-18 with SEMH and other complex needs in a nurturing environment.

You will deliver engaging lessons, promote positive behaviour, and work with families and professionals to help pupils reach their potential within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Degree-level education is essential.
• Experience teaching in EYFS/Primary/SEN settings is preferred.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs is important.
• Strong behaviour management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned to the National Curriculum.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals.
• Contribute to enrichment activities, educational visits and wider school life.
