Job summary

Rigby Hall School in Bromsgrove is seeking a Full time Class Teacher with SEN1 allowance to start January 2027, subject to pre-employment checks. The role covers MLD/SLD/Complex needs classes with provision for SEN1. Salary on Main/M6 to UPS1-UPS3 scales plus SEN1 allowance; ECTs considered.

The successful candidate will lead a class, work with teaching assistants, and deliver engaging activities while supporting pupils with diverse needs and sensory considerations. DBS checks required.

Salary range: Main pay scale (M1-M6) to Upper pay scale (UPS1-UPS3), plus SEN1 allowance. ECT s considered.

We are excited to offer the above opportunity at our popular 4 -19 special school for pupils with moderate, severe and complex learning difficulties, that include challenging behaviours and SEMH.

You must be able to deliver exciting and engaging activities and be a good communicator, able to lead the class, work flexibly and be able to manage and work together with our teaching assistants. You must be able to teach within our MLD, SLD or Complex needs classes, which will be discussed further at interview.

You will have skills and understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies to make a positive impact on the children s progress, considering their learning styles, communication and sensory needs.
